receiver sessions started with a question: what would dive have sounded like as a post-rock record? then: what would it sound like as jazz, as trip-hop, as house? one song, one genre at a time, over many months, the answers piled up into a library. the notes became a wiki. this site is where it all lives.
the name comes from epoch’s closing track. a receiver is a passive thing: it doesn’t broadcast, it listens. that felt right for a fan project. this is not an attempt to improve tycho, replace tycho, or be tycho. it is one fan listening closely, in public, and writing down what he hears.

a library of covers that reimagine tycho in other genres, made by one fan using ai music tools. a fan-written encyclopedia of the music, the gear, and the design. a gallery of tribute art. a place for fans to say what the music means to them. nothing here is for sale; there are no ads and there never will be.

the takedown promise
if scott hansen, the band, the label, or any rights holder asks for anything to be removed — a cover, an image, an article, the whole site — it comes down immediately, without argument and without needing a formal notice. one email is enough. the music was a gift; keeping this respectful is the least that can be done in return.
